Body Shapes

While you're a teen, you're still growing, but now you're beginning to develop your body shape. It's always good to find out what shape you are because sometimes the wrong clothes can give the illusion of a wider or shorter body.
Above we have four examples of body shapes (there are so many different body shapes it's unbelievable..). If you're like me and have the body of a 12 year old boy then you're a rectangle (straight up and down - no curves). If however, you have an Apple shape then, unlike Pear, you have no waist and you are a bit wider than rectangle. Pear shapes usually have bigger hips than their upper body and Hourglass have wide hips and a wide chest but a tiny waist. The best way to find out what shape you are is to check in the mirror or take a test (http://www.channel4.com/4beauty/style/dress-for-your-body-shape) Gok Wan can help you;)

Rectangle - If you're rectangle, you want something that's going to create curves and show off that amazing bod of yours! Try pencil skirts and a tailored (fitted) top/blazer?

Apple - Similar to Rectangle, you want to create curves, so try flared skirts. They pinch you in at the waist (giving you the illusion of an hourglass shape) and flares out over your thighs!

Pear - Out of all the body shapes: you have the best waist. So if you got it: flaunt it! Try tight fitted tops/jackets and pleated skirts. They'll hide your hips and make you appear slimmer, while the tight fitted top  /jacket shows off that amazing waist of yours!

Hourglass - You have a very enviable figure, and one that's easy to dress as well. Try a pencil skirt and a floaty blouse? The skirt will hug your figure and show off that gorgeous waist, while the blouse will not only be pretty, but give the illusion of an even slimmer waist!

Hope this helps!
